Our
church family is busy in missions. We have one family from our church sent
as
career missionaries to Belgium and a great many involved in short-term projects.
Margaret Cameron has joined Bonnie and Jessie Janzen in Lithuania. Margaret
is teaching English as a second language and Bonnie is teaching mission children
( 7 ) in a one room school model. Marie Hunter is in South Africa townships
and her ministry has grown from hosting at a center to the role of Youth Director
for a local church. Amanda Piechnik is serving for 3-6 months in Bolivia teaching
mission children. Robin and Barb Tucker have just returned from two months of
practical service at the YWAM centre in Hawaii. As a retired couple, they have
certaibly demonstrated that Youth With A Mission is not just for College and
Career aged volunteers! Tim Sorensen in a short-term missions boot camp experience
in Honduras that provides training and outreach. Russ Philips spent three months
this fall in Kenya. Dave & Miriam Thompsin have recently returned from Africa
after completing all but two weeks of their term at Pwani Bible Institute. Mike
and Bev GGroenwold and their three boys ( new to our church Aug. '98 ) have
completed their most recent term with YWAM as Discipleship Director in Belize.
Keith & Laura Pickerill are preparing for a career with Wycliffe Bible translators
by joining the Canadian support staff in the area of finance in Calgary, once
their support is raised ( they are currently just below 20% of their needs ).
Our youth pastor,
Dan Ost, has an opportunity to take
a team to Europe in 2000 and then himself serving our mission families on that
continent as a recreation dorector during their annual conference.

and country. As a mission-minded church, we are committed to supporting "lifers"
as career missionaries because that is the place of proveen results. Currently
our budget gives significantly to the suport of nine missionaries. If you want
